About
I was addicted. Now I help professionals escape.
I grew up in Santry, on the north side of Dublin — a quiet, anxious kid who lost most of his teens to a games console and never quite learned how to be around people. I had opportunities and took almost none of them.
Then, at sixteen, I lost my dad to suicide. It's the moment my life split in two.
What came after were years I'm not proud of. Cocaine, weed, drink, gambling — it started social, the way it always does: a line at a party, a sniff at work on a Tuesday afternoon. Quietly, it became the thing my whole life ran on. From the outside I held it together. Underneath I was lying to everyone, burning through money, pushing away the people who loved me, and twice walking away from car crashes I should never have been in. I told myself I was fine right up until I obviously wasn't.
Getting out wasn't willpower, and it wasn't one dramatic rock bottom. It was the slow, deliberate dismantling of the patterns that kept me using. I came through it. Past tense.
That work — the real work, not a shortcut — is the same work I now do with other people. Once I was out, I went and earned my CBT degree, wrote a book about the whole journey (Never Give Up, which hit #1 on Amazon), and built Bulletproof Recovery so the person I used to be would have somewhere to turn. I host the Bulletproof Mindset podcast where I talk about all of it openly, and I've now worked with more than 200 people across addiction and mental health.

Who I work with
Most of the people I work with are professionals — people with careers, reputations and families who can't simply check out for 28 days, and who are terrified of anyone finding out. They're high-functioning right up until they're not. If that's you, you're exactly who I built this for. The work is private, it protects your job and your name, and it starts wherever you are today. If you want the practical version of that, I wrote a full guide on how to quit cocaine without derailing your career.
And if you're not yet sure whether you have a problem at all — that's the most common place to start. Be honest with yourself here: Am I addicted to cocaine?, or take the private 3-minute self-assessment scored the way I'd score it across the desk.
Never Give Up
My #1 bestselling account of how I got out, and the methodology I now teach. It's the honest version — the one I needed when nothing else was landing.
