The Pink Cloud
The "pink cloud" is the bright, almost giddy stretch that often arrives in early recovery. A week or so in, the fog lifts, you sleep, you eat, you feel hopeful and proud — sometimes more alive than you have in years. You're sure you've cracked it. It's a lovely feeling, and it's real.
It's also the brain rebounding, relieved to be off the drug. Which is wonderful — but it isn't the finished article, and knowing that is what protects you.
