Contact Gary Clinton
I answer my own messages. There's no receptionist, no call centre and no chatbot — if you write, it's me who reads it, and I usually reply the same day. Everything you send is private.
Best if you want a fast, quiet reply. Text, don't call — I'm often in session.
A 60–90 minute one-to-one session with a written plan. Credited in full against a programme.
This is not an emergency service. If you or someone else is in immediate danger, call 112 or 999. In Ireland: Samaritans 116 123 (free, 24/7) · HSE Drugs & Alcohol Helpline 1800 459 459 (free). Please don't wait for an appointment.
Where I work
I'm based in Ireland and I work one-to-one online, worldwide. Most of my clients are in Ireland and the UK, and I work regularly with people across Europe and further afield. Sessions are by video call, in English, booked around your time zone — so there's no clinic to attend and no travel.

Common questions
- Is there a free consultation?
- No — and that's deliberate. The front door is a paid €100 assessment: a proper 60–90 minute session where you get a real read on where you are and a written plan, not a sales pitch. If you go on to a programme, the €100 comes off it. Asking me a question by email or WhatsApp costs nothing.
- Will anyone find out?
- No. It's online, it's one-to-one, and nothing is shared with your employer, your family or your GP unless you ask me to — except where the law requires it or there's a serious risk to someone's life. I work to the ethical standards of the ICPA (M6486). The full detail is in my terms and privacy policy.
- Do you work with families, not just the person using?
- Yes. A lot of people who contact me are a worried partner, parent or friend rather than the person using. Start with helping someone who uses cocaine or is my partner using?, then write to me.
- What if I'm not sure you're the right fit?
- Say so and I'll tell you straight. If I'm not the right person, I'll point you somewhere better — there's an honest map of Irish support on my where to turn page, including free and residential options. No cost, no pressure.
- How quickly do you reply?
- Usually the same day, often within a few hours. If you don't hear back in 24 hours, send it again — it didn't reach me.
Who you'd be talking to
I'm not a detached clinician who read about this in a textbook. I used cocaine every day — alcohol and gambling too — and I got out. I'm in long-term recovery, I hold certificates in CBT, NLP and Depression Counselling and a Diploma in Advanced Addiction Studies, I'm an ICPA accredited practitioner (M6486), and I've written books on recovery. More on my about page.
Not ready to book? That's fine. Read am I addicted to cocaine? or your first 7 days off cocaine first, and write to me when you're ready.
